Badische Stahl-Engineering GmbH (BSE) is an engineering and consulting group that supplies technical equipments and engineering services to steel and rolling mills across the world since 1983.

In addition to BSE, the group consists of three further independent companies: WAT Wiest GmbH, which focuses on consulting small and medium size enterprises, and two US firms BST Badische Stahl Technologies Inc., charlotte, and Bender Corporation, California.

All four companies are a part of Badische Stahl Group which also includes Badische Stahlwerke GmbH (BSW) one of the most successful and most efficient steel mills in the world, the steel plant enables to try ad test all the tools under the most rigorous production conditions.

This means that the engineering and consulting services BSE provides to other steel mills are based on the first hand experience. BSW operates two 90-ton electric arc furnace and two 5-strand billet caster at Kehl, Germany, producing 2.06 million ton per year billets with tap to tap time of 40 minutes which holds many international records in production parameters.
